Overview

Blue Equity identifies and cultivates opportunities in the lower middle market sector, with a unique combination of infusing capital; utilizing contacts; forming strategic relationships; and working directly with existing management or installing its own management. Blue Equity seeks to drive innovation and accelerates opportunity, resulting in a dramatic increase in performance and substantial returns on investment.

Investment Strategy

Blue Equity acquires majority stakes in companies or investment opportunities where a definitive, core strategy and superior execution will result in risk adjusted investment returns. Once involved with an entity, Blue Equity devotes resources in accordance with a plan designed to bring about monumental, positive changes in revenue and cash flows. Blue Equity's key to success is upward, post-acquisition value creation through initiatives undertaken to:

  • Identify and execute add-on acquisitions to complete a formal roll-up strategy or horizontal/vertical integration.
  • Devise and implement a strategic plan, business plans, and formal budgeting processes.
Overhaul sales and marketing functions, modernizing recruitment, training and management functions in these areas.
  • Elevate technological and communication standards.
  • Provide equity to management and utilize heavily incentivized compensation plans.
Add the use of relationships with recruiters, lenders, strategic partners, key contacts, accounting relationships, and legal representation in the new entity to maximize revenues.
Identify potential exit strategies, when appropriate.

Investment Style
Blue Equity evaluates opportunities in the areas of: the idea phase, start up, angel, mature business cycle, or divestment of a large, public entity strategy.  Deal structure could take place in the form of a purchase, equity infusion, recapitalization, debt to equity conversion, partnership or joint venture. Blue Equity requires no less than minimal operating control in all investment scenarios, while working actively with existing senior management to boost performance returns and superior results.
